Starter Slave Solenoid

Hello All,
Boat back in for season. 2001 310, twin 350 MAG, Vdrive. Last year the port engine would only "click" occasionally when trying to start. Seems to be more often this year. Does anyone know if there are slave solenoids on these motors or is it directly to the starter solenoid. I have searched high and low online with nothing conclusive. Going on a trip this weekend and want to resolve it. Will replace the starter if need be, but would rather not just throw parts at it. Any help is appreciated.

I know on my diesels you can follow the starter wires to the solenoid ...usually pretty close

You should have one. Top of the motor foot away from the 50 amp breaker. Follow the heavy r/y wire
