Starbrite startron gas additive ?

Guys,
Judging by your boats I doubt a $25 purchase or so to ensure you don't have more serious problems after winter is a cost concern.

I recently learned when I purchased Calle Ocho the gas was "...2years old..." From the po. Luckily it had good dose of Stabil and the boat ran flawlessly. I refilled the 12 gal tank w valve tech 89 and no noticeable difference so I guess Stabil really does work ;).

The valve tech gas here is 10% corn so I will use both Startron and Stabil when I put her up.

I'll prolly pour the whole bottle of Startron in w right amount of Stabil just to be safe

FYI, Startron is ALSO a stabilizer. In fact, according the labels, it stabilizes for a longer period of time than the Stabil brand. BUT, both CAN be mixed and there's no harm in doing that. Unnecessary as far as the gas is concerned, but no harm other than a little extra dent in the pocket book.

I did not realize that. Thank you sir!

I buy a gallon bottle of the Startron diesel additive every year and use it for my MAN diesels as well as my 200 hp Yamaha Center Console and 40 hp Yamaha dinghy. Knock wood, no problems with any of them over the course of thousands of gallons of gas and diesel.

Use at every fill up. Does the trick for me. I would use the Seafoam as more of a annual/bi-annual cleaner rather than at every fill up, but that's just me.

Ditto.

not a stabil fan. it trashed several of my motorcycles- switched to seafoam after that. Just picked up 32oz of Startron so we will revist this in the spring as I just filled up and that should last til then

My main concern with startron is that it is almost entirely naptha, a strong organic solvent. Not much else in it. Have to read the MSDS sheet for total ingredients, but it's mostly solvent, don't see much antioxidant to it.

Did the MSDS say anything about enzymes?

It actually smells a lot like kero.
