Went out yesterday and found my Starboard trim did not work. Port trim working fine. After investigating this morning when pushing the trim switch in the up or down mode I get a clicking sound from the pump area and that is it. The Starboard pump is actually new as it had to be replaced a couple of months ago when I had my drive work done. Any suggestions on what to look at first? It looks like all the wires are connected at the pump. The SmartCraft gauge indicator does display 0.1 when I try to raise but goes back to 0.0. I also had the trim sender switches replaced when the drive work was done. Any help would be appreciated.

If the unit was just replaced, it is more than likely a bad connection. Hard to believe an 05 had a failed pump to begin with.

Bad solenoid. I had one go bad a few weeks ago. Not the easiest to get to but pretty straight forward fix. I think it was a $40 part.

Isn't the solenoid part of the assembly? Did not get a chance to get to the boat this past weekend. Will have to wait until Sunday.
