Good morning,

I have a 2006 Sun Dancer 320 that lists a few degrees to starboard.

In fact , when both fuel tanks are full and the water tank on the port side is full, the boot stripe on the starboard side is slightly under water. I tried shifting anything I could from starboard to port but it still leans to starboard.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Where is your waste/holding tank and is it full or empty?

Water tank is in the center under rear berth. Waste tank is on port. Stern drive or v drive?
Type & number of batteries? Generator?
Need a little more detail.

Waste tank on port side and about a quarter full. The boat has a generator ,twin Mercruiser inboards and 4 interstate batteries on starboard side.

Same set up I have. Boot stripes on the same? Not sure what could cause that. Is it the same when tanks are empty?

Yes, even with fuel tanks a quarter , it still lists to starboard but the boot stripe is not under water.

I wish I could steer you in a direction. Only thing I could think of would be a hull anomaly. Or wet coring in the deck heaven forbid. Curious as to others thoughts.

Generator and batteries all on starboard side. Take out a couple batteries and see what happens.

Not too noticeable when I bought the boat 3 years ago but now I can see it listing to starboard

I did change the batteries which are on the starboard side but the mechanic who works on the boat doesn't think that's the problem.

Did you replace the batteries with the same that were in there? If you went to a heavier battery, maybe the extra weight of the combined 4 is causing it ? I added 2 batteries to my 270 Maxum a few years ago and it listed dramatically. Had to re position them for sure. Also - what's under your starboard cockpit seats? Every little bit adds to it.

I had my 370DA 9 years. At about year 5, I noticed a slight list to the port. I went through everything brought up here already.

Finally, at spring launch in year 7, I told the SR service manager about the list that was driving me crazy. He asked if both tanks were filled. I told him they were as I filled them before winter storage.

He then asked if I filled them fast or slow. Fast, I guess, until close to being filled. He told me to get the boat to the gas dock and try to fill the tanks slowly.

That was it. I put about 40 more gallons in the starboard side. 40 gallons x 8 lbs/gal= 320 lbs.

Sure enough, no more listing.

Once you pull out the boat have hull checked with moisture meter. Batteries wouldn't make much difference on heavy boat like yours. You may have water intrusion in hull.
