Guys - weird thing happened last night.
I had to make a run acRoss the strait of Georgia in rough conditions last night. Anyway - I normally have a calm organized shut down sequence when I have docked.
Last night I eventually got back to my slip after a pretty traumatic 5 hours on plane and 25-30 knot winds at times on my beam - but for a short break.
I normally shut down port then starboard, Last night as I docked I had to jump onto the dock finger quickly so I turned both engines off in one motion just after I had pushed into neutral. Anyway I went to the back of the boat after tieing up and realized the starboard engine was still running - at least 30 second after the switch went to off.
I went to helm - switched main starboard switch to on then off again - still kept running. In the end I got it to stop by starting the port engine again and I could then stop the starboard engine by switching off as normal.
Weird set up - I will try to replicate the problem later but wanted to see if anyone else has seen this issue. As you can see I have 2005 vintage merc 350 MPI horizons.

As an update - no alarm logs and I could not replicate today - I took a lot of water spray over the bow and had to leave front strata glass off to watch for logs so maybe water ingress on helm?
Anyways - it seems ok today.

That would be my guess. You have the toggle switches at the helm right? Has to be there, maybe a little corrosion on the contacts and some water from your rough ride and the switch shorted - by the time you moved it a few times it cleared off the moisture enough to work. I don't think restarting the port motor had anything to do with it. I would pull those two switches out and clean everything up real good.
