I've used Meguiars #93 marine metal cleaner and polish. Apparently Meguiars no longer makes this blue paste product and did not replace it with a marine equivalent. So, I'm looking for recommendations for what you guys use on bowrails, stanchions, cleats, etc....

Marine31 makes a product called "Aluminum and Stainless Steel Brightening Soap." I have used it for several years and it works great. Wet the applicator and wipe it across the soap and lightly scrub. Rinse or wipe, follow with some wax and forget it for a year. Works great.

Barkeepers friend is great, I also love shurholds buff magic for stainless. I'm not a big fan of it on the gelcoat but it originated as a jeweled polish and it does really well on metals.

I've used Starbrite heavy Duty Cleaner Wax, Starbrite Chrome and Stainless Polish and Eagle One Nevr-dull. All worked well but the Nevr-dull gave the best results and was easiest to use as you pull off a piece of wadding and rub - so theres no need to apply a polish to a rag as the wadding is pre-inpregnated.

As for the Starbrite products I would just buy the Heavy Duty Cleaner Wax as it was as good if not better than the specific stainless product plus it can be used on gelcoat.

For stainless sinks I found by chance that the Sealand Toilet Bowl and Seal Cleaner gave outstanding results for minimal effort - just a wipe with a rag removed rust stains and left a great shine.

Good stuff! We were at Bed Bath & Beyond in Sandusky yesterday and they had Bar Keepers Friend in a spray bottle. I thought that it was neat.

Thanks, guys.
