We are redoing all our canvas and strata....

My understanding is that there are some covers we can buy for the bars. I can't find them ... called my local west marine, and they said that they are something that canvas people make.

Any leads?

Canvas guys can definitely make them up for you, so whoever is doing the new stuff for you can certainly do it. Taylor Made makes them and is probably the most well known "off the shelf", but I'm sure there are others.

If you want sleeves that cover the entire pole, your canvas person can make them. A lot of times they will use sunbrella or wide velcro loop tape sewn into a tube. One manufacturer of a product is called "bimini sox"...

You can also use these "feet" which are available in packs at west marine (taylor made product) and other places.... or order from here...

I use a product called Sun Sox. Comes in long lengths that you can cut to fit. Mine were on the boat when I bought it, but if you Google Sun Sox you can find dealers.

Thanks guys - this is what I was after.

The canvas guy wants $500 to make them. The little plastic things supposedly damange the plastic alot too I've heard.

Now that I think about it there was a discussion on here previously about this topic. Someone said that they use white pool noodles cut down the center. Another person uses clear vinyl tubing (hose from WM / home depot etc) which works and is not really visible from a distance unlike the other solutions. All of which are probably cheaper than 500!

Your Canvas guy will do best. They will be seamed and cut to length w/ Velcro edge like other have mentioned. Plus they will match your canvas.
If you have sizes try calling "Custom Transformations". They are North of MKE and from all accounts reasonable cost.

It might be a little low end but, one boat I had pipe insulation from Home Depot.
Worked great, the plastic clip on things scratched the plastic.

Cheers,

Mark
