Yeah, tell me about it. Two trips, two $1500+ TAG watches! As years went on and we started spending time in Maui, It got more expensive on front street in Lahaina though. After dinner and drinks at The Lahaina Yacht club My wife insisted I needed a Rolex Yachtsman for my 50th B-day $12,500. Happy wife, happy life ...right?“One tip keep your wife out of The jewelry stores”
We were there on a dive trip a few years ago and there weren’t any cruise ships in port….slow day. Walking near the docks, the wife wanted to check out the jewellery…. a rather motivated salesman starts into his spiel on a particular ring, for you only $2200! Lorie was kind a playing him along, and by the time we walked out the door, he was down to $800!!!
Don’t think it was exactly the quality deal he said it was.
I have a good friend of mine that has a condo there and spends 5 months a year, ( Our winters ) He tells me one year after the storm it was pretty much back to normal. We have gone a couple of times, rented villas for a week at a time on the French side. Clothing optional beaches are a kick. We were a bit younger and seeing groups of middle aged couples sitting around nude playing cards on the beach was different to say the least. We saw very few folks that should be seen in the raw!
I was wondering how well the island has recovered after being hit a few of years ago by hurricane Irma.
