St. Louis boat show

Tim...yes we went to the show on Sunday. We drove up Sunday Morning. Spent several hours at the show. The number of boats was down from last year. There seemed to be a lot of people there on Sunday. One of the MM salesman said the Saturday was really busy. MM did have the new 43DA at the show....very nice. After we left, we drove out to Wildwood/Ellisville area and saw my Aunt and Grandmother...then back home.

Sounds good, thanks for the info. I live in the Ellisville/Wildwood area. Ironic that I missed the boat show to be at Table Rock/Springfield furniture shopping and catching up with friends and you were near my home...okay maybe not so ironic after all.

The boat show was down from last year - less boats - specifically the larger boats. Attendance seemed down as well. The new 43 and the 35 were both nice. The new Cobalt 37' I though was a little odd looking and the way they installed the spotlight was a little hokey. Overall it was a decent show.

Detroit boat show is this week and weekend. I am not going this year,. The newspaper said crowds are down and the show is smaller.

Scott...I also noticed the absence of the larger boats. As I recall, last year MM had a 48DA, 44DA, 40DA, 38DA as well as several larger Meridians. None of the other dealers had much over 40'+ either. I could tell the MM area took up less floor space than last year. One of the salesman told me 3 years ago, they sold about 125 boats at this show...this year their goal was 35. I don't think there were any Carvers.

I also agree about the spotlight on the Cobalt 37....
