Ive seen direct sunlight do that.
Good reason to keep the cover on.
BTW how old is it?

The original which came with the boat, I keep the cover on, as well as I have a cloth helm gauge area cover and I am under a fully covered slip. So I have no idea as to the cause, and the electronics switch was not on either?

Saw a new updated version on detroit cl yesterday, only out of the box for posting pics, the guy has a sea ray but never installed it for 300 bucks.

My RaymarineC80 took a dump and it was the video card. They fixed it for $75.

By "they" do you mean Raymarine?
They list repairing a C80 at a flat fee of $675.
Also, list $225 for the ST 60 Tridata..

Hey thanks that's not a bad idea, I though maybe Raymarine though it "twas" to old and had not looked. I will check later today $225.00 and shipping I believe will beat any prices I have thus far found.

"twas" it is the holidays after all! LOL

Their flat fee to inspect is $75 per tech support. I called and talked with them after seeing the repair costs on their website (which fraked me out). I would suggest calling and talking to tech support. I've had mine repaired twice for no where near the flat rate of $675.
