hi; i backed in to the dumpster and bent the brace for our swim platform.
it is 7/8" OD tubing aprox. 1/16" wall and at least 28" long.

at first i thought this would be a easy find. it even shows up in the old sea ray parts books. it look like they just sold you the tubing and then you bent and finished to your length.

can anyone help me find this.:smt100 i have found somethings that are close but not right.

gary and gerry

I just bought a platform from this company. He may be able to fabricate the bracket for you. Poly Swim Products • polyproducts@neb.rr.com • (402) 416-2544

Jody is his name and he is easy to work with.

Not sure how much bending you have to do for your platform, but SS tubing can be found for about $70 per 12' length.

Hijack alert....

Haven't heard of them - the web page is limited to one picture and the phone/email link. How do you like the swim platform? Any pics?

Back to the thread.......

For the OP - found this link - looks like $46 for 20ft of 7/8" Stainless tubing. I did freight to my zip (27948) and it was another $17.00 This will give you a bit extra but may be a good solution. You may also want to contact a local marina or fabricator and see if you can just get the section. They may even be able to match it all up for you so it looks original.

no marina or much else here. metal shop wants $100 for ten or twelve ft. and have to wait for next order. could be 3 weeks.

the original had the ends mashed about 3" in with a bend at end of the mashed parts and two hole drilled on each end to mount. looks simple to make and must bend pretty easy because i don't think heating ss does any good to work it.

will try link. thats cheaper than i have found. shipping might be a problem though

add says can ship ups if they cut to short lengths so looks good to go
thanks tdapplman

Go to your local canvas shop. He should have 7/8" stainless and cut it to length of have a scrap piece to get you. If not PM me with a dimension, I'll ask my guy.

Yeah let me know. My guy does both aluminum and stainless. for the small size you need shouldn't cost too much and it sounds like you don't need a whole stick of it.
