I have a 2007 210 Select with a stainless steel prop. The prop got dinged last weekend and I was thinking of replacing it with an aluminum prop. Someone told me I had to replace my prop with stainless steel only. That's doestn't sound right to me that I can only have a SS prop. What's the verdict guys? Try to come up with enought money for an expensive SS prop or go with "something I can afford" aluminum?

You should be able to use an aluminum prop, but you will notice a decrease in performance. Because stainless is stronger, the blades are much thinner and therefore more efficient. Aluminum is a bit easier on the drive if you hit something.

How bad was the ding? It might be cheaper to repair then to buy an aluminum prop plus you lose performance.
