Spring Break Panama City Beach

As the saying goes "Been there and done that", but for us John we need to add "and still paying for it!!!" You have got to love all them Best Dad shirts we get when you write the checks for our college girls bills. (Grin)

I didn't even get the dang T-shirt! (Well, maybe I did.) A hug and a kiss go a long way.

I wouldnt have let my parents anywhere near spring break, nor would they have had any mind to watch over me

Daytona was the place for us...went 4 years in a row from 90-93. The fact I do not have any kind of STD or criminal record still amazes me to this day.

Both are videos (cheap, from a phone). The first one thinks it's a photo, but it's a video.

John,
Now that is just scary. I was laughing and saying the same thing about him dumping them at the same time.

I spent two spring breaks at Panama City. One at Daytona and one in Ft Lauderdale. I must say my time spent at Panama City was the best for what I can remember. Club La Vela and Spinnaker if my memory serves me correctly was just a mecca for booze and boobs. I just loved the southern girls.

John

Came down to the dock to make sure my ropes were still good. I just missed you heading out. "Somewhere" is ready for the water and plan to drop it in on Monday when the marina is quite.

Hey John, Loved the pics. I am doing the spring break Tri Delta deal next weekend duirng ALabama's. Will do Shell Island and may go down to Baytown where some sisters are staying. Nothing beats hugs from a daughter and her friends after being out on the boat.

Lee and Jody,

Great to hear from both of you. Sorry me missed you, Jody. It'll be good to have you back at the dock.

Lee - we'll look for you at Shell! It's getting to look a lot like Summer.....

John,

You are a good Dad!!

Go to this link...big collection of old PC pics, postcards, etc.

I am from B'ham, Al originally and remember Mom & Dad taking me to Panama City in the '50s....made my mind up then at 5 years of age that I was going to live in Florida!!

Moved here in'76 but I got my feet in the sand for the first time on Panama City Beach...good memories I will never forget.

Great thread, I was born and raised in PC as well as my parents. My father was a life guard in the 60's and my g-father owned Miracle Strip Amusement Park until he sold out decades ago. I live in Texas now and don't visit PC often but I miss it, Spring Break week was the best. Being a local during those times were difficult as the local business were prejudice as a few gave us a bad reputation. Maybe when I retire I can move back down there but a little to the West.

I lived in Daytona for 5 years during the early 80's when I was single. I'm not allowed to talk about it though.

Gary, I certainly hope you were single in the early eighties. You mentioned in another thread that you were in fifth grade in '83.

Ok... I wasn't in the 5th grade in the early 80's... I know I look like I'm only 30 years old... but I'm older than that.

We don't drag people around behind our 340, so the only vests we have on board are for emergency use. Not one girl made any comment. They threw them on and jumped onto the banana boat. I didn't even think about that. They are a good group of girls.
