Spot light

The spot/search light on the bow of my 2006 290 Sundancer only swivels. It will move side to side but not up or down. Marina wants about $700 to replace with new one and installation. Anybody have any ideas?? They tried a new controller/switch and that was NOT the problem.

You don't say what kind of light, but the ACRs have a rotational motor and an elevation motor. They both go bad over time, more quickly in salt water. Replacement motors from ACR are pricey but you can find comparable motors on amazon. If you post a picture of the light we can help more.

On ACR lights there is also a controller box between the pad and the light that can go bad.

i tore mine down and cleaned lubed and freed up the original motors
