OK, maybe not splash since she's in the water year round but starting season shakedown was today. Went out with the mechanic to give her a thorough inspection and run up. (I've been interviewing new wrenches). The boat ran great. He went thru all the systems and said she's in fantastic shape and just needs the normal PM that we all should be doing anyway. Was very happy with this report. The Admiral's interior redecorating project is progressing nicely. (I think she's going to be replacing the flooring next season). Together she and I replaced the ray marine equipment with new Garmin stuff. For those considering doing this installation on a similar boat, it's actually very easy. Running the cables was a little painful but overall easy. We saved $3,000 over professional installation.
So, let's hope this is a good omen for the season!! This is the 4th year of ownership and she's finally starting to feel like "our boat" if that makes sense.
