Took my dad’s ashes back home to eastern NC this past Saturday a week ago and had his service. We had decided since we were there we might as well enjoy a vacation. One night in Nags Head, 3-in Buxton, and 2-on Ocracoke Island. We had a great time! The beach, the food, and the shear lack of crowds were all fantastic. When I grew up near here in the 60s-70s, everything was so much less commercialized. This was out first visit in 14 years. I guess it has been found….if you have never been, it is well worth the time and trouble to get there….a few pics:
