I for one would not like that the trip to the Blue Angels by water in Pensacola is the highlight of my summer. A lot of fun and a great show. I know of a lot of ways to cut and Obama flying around on AF! acting like he is a king is one of them. Get rid of the Obama phones, the wasted money on people that just want to sit around all day and not work and stop extending unemployment benefits for years and years so people will have incentive to get back to work and pay taxes.

A lot of waste and abuse in washington and other governments look at Detroit

We can not continue to spend like a drunk sailer and expect to tax our way out of it. I for one am glad this cut is here and hope congress does not give in and tax us more to pay for it.

I for one am tired of paying for lazy people to collect a check. I am going to miss the blues but if that is the price to pay so be it.
 
Hard to say what is impacted. There has been so much disinformation put out in the last few days in the midst of trying to gain political advantage.

Earlier this week the Education Secretary stated that teachers were already recieving pink slips. Obviously not true.

At the end of the day - after sequester - we have 15B more in appropiations than was spent last year. Scratching my head - how does that equate to cuts -- except for the fact that the rate of growth in some areas not impacted by sequester is so high.

Notice I said appropiations, not budget. We have not had a budget in 4 years.

The sequester is cutting growth - not what we spent last year.
 
Cutting some, but far from all of this year's government growth. The left is about big government. They buy votes for themselves. They give favors in lavishly paying jobs for extremely incompetent people to whom they owe favors. It's all crap.

Term limits - the only way.
 
They need to shut down the Departments of Energy, Education, Labor and the EPA. Make the USA a "right to work" country. Jobs would return to our shores.

Elect people who will put the USA first and their on interest second.
 
They're going to cut things like the Blue Angels because people give a damn about them. Nobody would give a damn if they cut the departments VinceR mentioned above. Nobody would care if they stopped a big part of the people who'd been on welfare for years. Nobody would care if the floors in the big bldgs. in WA didn't get waxed and polished every night. Nobody would care if Afro1 didn't make its every-other-day trip to someone.

But to prove the point that Sequestration is a bad thing they're going to cut crap that people care about.

It's just like with local budgets. When they want to scare the public into passing a tax hike they only talk about police and fire layoffs. You never hear them mention cutting the people who work for the parks departments or the streets department....again, nobody would care.

I work with a number of guys who quit watching the news - completely. They don't read newspapers - almost zero exposure. They say they can't influence any of the crap so they just completely tune it out.

Why in the world are we sending $60 million to the Syrian rebels when we are broke ??? Supporting Syria instead of America.

Stop spending on foreign aid, save $50 billion a year. This is all about Obama grandstanding for the low information voter.
