Spell Check anyone?

I took Journalism in high school and it was always important to me to make sure grammar, punctuation and spelling are correct but I admit I sometimes get sloppy.

About 20 years ago I was the editor and publisher of a 32 page monthly magazine for the Porsche Club of America region I belonged to. I got used to proof reading everything I wrote several times. I try to stick to that but as I said I sometimes get in a hurry and get a bit sloppy.

We have a guy on my team that is in his 40's but types like these young kids. 'Everything is in shorthand' like you see these kids texting. Nothing spelled out. Takes me 3 times as long to read it cause I have to figure out what ppl, nvm, SMH, etc. Pain in the butt trying to decipher his stuff.

Technology isn’t always smart.
I’ve been using my iPad to surf the net for a few years now. It’s super convenient, but the auto correct causes a lot of grammatical errors.
I’ll often type a word, and the damn thing replaces it with a completely different word that makes no sense.
The one that comes to mind as being the most annoying is when I type “I” and it replaces it with “ai”.
Being a lousy typist who uses two fingers and has to keep his eye on the keyboard, it’s hard to catch all of them.
