Hey guys, I've got a 99 searay 180 BR And im fairly new to boating, I noticed last time I went out my speedometer isnt working:smt013. Any advice on were to look and what to check would be great!

Speedometers in boats are either 1) not working or 2) inaccurate.
There is a small hole on your out drive above the bullet called the pitot tube. They get clogged a lot, and once clogged, the speedo stops working accurately or stops altogether. The tube measures water flow/pressure to determine speed. You need to clean it out with a small piece of wire (or similar) to get it working again.
I'm not saying that's your problem and fix, I'm saying that is usually the problem in my experience.
Personally I use my Garmin GPS for speed.
