speedo not working??

Hey guys i had my boat out last week for the first time this year and noticed that the speedo wasn't working right?? It worked good last year. I hate the boat tapped out probably doing 55mph and the speedo was reading like 10mph and when going slow it doesn't read anything?? Anybody now how to fix this?

You likely hit a small log and wedged a piece of wood in the pitot pick up. On the front enge of your out drive you will find a small hole below the water line. Use a 1/8" drill bit and by hand twist it in an out of that hole and try to clear the debris. You can go in as deep as possible. Mine had wedged so far in I had to remove the tubing going to the speed sensor inside the engine compartment and blow compressed air back into the line to push out the debris.
99% of the time, this is the reason the speedo stops working.
