Speed odometer

[strange weather]

My Smart Craft 5000 isn't reading the speed nor is my analog gauge getting any readings-how should I run this problem down?

Could be that the paddle wheel has failed or has something is stuck in it. I believe there is a transducer on top of one of the engines also (starboard I think). This takes the signal from the paddle wheel and converts it for the gauges.
