I added 3 to 4 thousand pounds to my boat with batteries, watermaker, inverter and gear. Speed dropped by 6 knots and RPM by 600. Any one have similar situation? Wondering if prop change would help?

You will not restore speed and RPM together by repropping. With a new prop, you can restore RPM, but will lose more velocity.

That is the consequence of adding weight. My boat's weight will vary by almost a ton with full or empty tanks. The speed and economy difference is measurable and palpable.

You and I can handle the extra load with our engines! The other day with full fuel and water my boat still got up a plane in no time and went 45 MPH!
