Speakers 185 Sport

I have an 06 185 Sport that didn't come with the speakers in the front of the boat. How hard would it be to cut and add speakers in the location that they would have been and will I be able to wire them easily to the stereo? Thanks.

Just break out the zip saw, and start cutting. Remember, measure twice, cut once.

I've been considering the same thing in my 2005, my problem is that I don't know exactly where they're supposed to be mounted and I don't see a completely flat spot up there for them.

Anyone have a 2005 or 2006 with bow speakers that can post pictures?

I put two speakers in my Sport 195 about 2 years ago... Just made a template before I cut the holes (actually, I made 2, out of posterboard, got them evenly spaced, made my marks, measured twice and cut only once!)...

I used my Rotozip....

It created a lot of dust, but I had my brother-in-law manning the shop vac the entire time. We cleaned up as we went....

Wired them right to the unused speaker wires coming out of the Clarion head unit!

Very easy and satisfying project!

Wow, you have a lot of flat surface area in those 06-09's. The bow of my boat is acting as a storage unit right now during the winter months so I 'll have to check it out later when I can get her cleaned out. I'm sick of having to blast the radio just to hear it up front.
