speaker location

Does anybody else have a comparable year/ model as mine ? I can't decide where to mount the speakers. :smt100 I guess what I'm asking is where are your speakers mounted & are you satisfied with the sound where they are ?

Not sure how similar my boat is to your's, but generally speaking, try to mount in an area where you have an enclosed backing. Speakers need a baffle, and sound great if correctly baffled.

This season I installed 2 JL brand speakers above the storage area on each side of the cockpit. There was no way to baffle this setup, so even though they are expensive speakers, they only sound fair. On the other hand, I mounted two smaller Polk speakers in the cabin, costing half as much, and they sound twice as good. I was able to mount both in a spot that provided baffleing.

Just buy the baffles for them if you have room for install...
