My port side cabin speaker is out. It is a new speaker this year. Checked connections behind speaker and behind head unit in galley, all look good.

This speaker is located near the throttle assembly. Does anyone know where the wires for this speaker run and how to access? I am thinking something is wrong somewhere between the head unit and the speaker?

you may want to hook this speaker up to the other speaker wiring to verify nothing is wrong with the speaker first.....if the speaker checks out OK you can use a voltmeter to check to see if there is a signal getting from the head unit to the speaker wire terminals....its been a while since i did this but IIRC just use the voltmeter on the lowest scale for DC power as possible and touch the meter probes to the the POS and NEG speaker wire terminal....there should be a very low voltage reading on the meter if the signal from the head unit is coming through the wire and when the head unit is turned on.....

Thank you - did not even think to try this. Will bring my voltmeter with me on my next trip to the boat.
