I used 3861295 from Volvo on my Mercruiser 8.1 about 7 months ago. Perfect fit. Boots on both ends were the same as the Merc OEM.

it's just crazy that Mercruiser wants a grand for a set of simple plug wires.

Received and installed the plug wires. They are identical to what I took off. Highway robbery for what mercruiser charges for these.
