I know we have a least a couple of folks here in the bolt biz - I am looking for 1/4-20 2 1/5" hanger bolts. I really only need one, but I'll take four if I can find them. These bolts appear to be what Sea Ray uses to bolt the head down.

If I can't find bronze, would SS be an acceptable substitute?

I have found all kinds of odd ball hardware and materials from McMaster at http://www.mcmaster.com/

They ship via UPS to my house and offer next day delivery from their local store. Small quanties are usually not a problem and the prices are also usually reasonable.

SS steel bolts are OK
don't forget to install PLASTIC washers between bolt head and toilet base
brass is much softer ant that is reason why they using it to mount ceramic

My head does not have a ceramic base, it appears to be a hard black plastic. The base is surrounded by a plastic trim cover which I managed to break while trying to figure out how to get it off.
