When does everyone hang it up for the year???...We stay in as long as possible. Last year we camped on a LG island 3rd. week of Oct. Had a campfire, a steak cooked over the fire and listened to the Yankees playoff game..(not this year). I'm hoping for the same luck this year.

Back in 2003 the year we bought our current boat, we were boating every weekend into December. The boat was pulled about 12/15. That was a great year!

Central Jersey: Depends on the weather. Last year, I hauled the Monday after thanksgiving. Weather was 40F and pouring. If the weather was sunny and 45. . .I would have been boating.

End of Oct for me. 4 more weekends. Then i have this and that. I don't want to pull her out in the cold. I like to wash, do some stuff, wax etc... Last year I had frozen snot hanging from my nose when I did this. Not his year.

I try to stay in, till mid-late Oct. if I can... Last yr, I was doing the winter storage steps in a light snowstorm... I froze. But, I hate to put it away before that, since our summers are so short up here.

Southeast Georgia, 12 months out of the year, not all days are good boating days but you can do it all year. That is why I have full canvas for my boat so I can use it on some of the not so good days.

We always shoot for a minimum of 6 months in the water. So, we try to have it in from Mid April to at least mid October. Last year we made it until the week of Halloween.

Usually mid october for us here in Michigan. But I won't winterize until the end of the month, just in case we get a couple of good days.

In the water all year here. Plenty of cold days, but when it gets cold, it doesn't stay that way long. Lots of winter days when you can get out and cruise the lake in the sun.

Next weekend is last for us... Admiral works at a boat store, storage, service, sales etc, It's their busy time and I work nights and weekends hauling and building shrinkwrap frames and doing winterizations,,,, soooooooo....... we're about done, and tonights lows are already near 37, bbrrrrrrrr.......

October 17 for us. Most of the time it is sunny and warm in mid October which is perfect for the final wash and putting things away clean and dry. This year, I'm doing the top side waxing in the fall so next year it will be 12 hours polishing and waxing the hull. All the winter maintenance work will be done in early October so after doing the hull in the spring, she will be launched around April 15. We actually enjoy putting her away and getting her out. Once she is in the barn, it's off to northern lower Michigan in the TT with the top down to enjoy the begining of the color season.

As much as I hate to think about it, I am hoping to get into the middle of October before the water tempature gets to cold for the kiddies to swim in (my daughter already wants a wet suit for kneeboarding). I would like to take some trips up and down the Ohio River once the leaves start to change, if I can make that long. As this is my first boat I have owned, how cold can it get before I need to worry about winterizing? For example we have been known to have some cold nights in Oct, 30 degrees, but the temp tends to be all over the place, some years are hot some are cold?

I am done officially this weekend with the birth our our first baby scheduled for the first week of October.
Usually we boat well into October.

We mix it up with driving around in the A6 with the roof open up here to see the fall colors thru October! As long as it's above about 40, the top's open as much as possible(and the seat heaters on!).

Well, no canvas here, but...our last trip last year was in early November, for a bit of fishing and some cruising. The kids were wearing their snow pants, coat, hats and gloves!
