Hi all. First post here, and soon to be owner of a new 250 SLX. It's being built now, and is supposed to be available on March 20. I feel like a child waiting for Christmas.

I've read quite a few posts here, and this seems to be an informative site filled with knowledgeable people. I thought I read somewhere that there was some kind of enclosed top available for this boat that could be used for overnight outings, but I can't find anything for it. My boat will have the tower, but it doesn't provide much coverage. We really struggled with the decision between the SLX and the Sundancer, but the ability to have two families on deck outweighed the odd time that we might actually overnight. Still, I'd like the option to do so sometime.

It will be patina/black two tone with the 502. I can't wait to see it.

congrats! Welcome to CSR. It's nice to see another Okie on board. We also struggled with the same decision. We went with the dancer to extend the season a little longer.
Make sure you post some pictures..

Ahhh, one of my dream boats! Congrats! Oh, have you asked for pictures from the production line? I did, and they were great about it...

I didn't know I could do that. I'll be calling tomorrow

Oar Play, thanks. We're pretty new to Oklahoma. Originally from southeast Texas. I loved offshore fishing, but my previous job of 12 long years put a stop to that. I was on call all the time, and could never justify going out just to have to turn around when the pager went off. I finally got enough of it and moved here in the middle of a few lakes. Absolutely love it, and I'm not afraid to answer my phone. We lived not too far from you in Lawrenceville a few years back. Are you on Lanier? Another beautiful area.

Welcome.....definitely one of my favorite boats.....like to see your photos.....

Congrats on the new boat! We purchased a 2011 at the end of the season last year. We actually traded in our Sundancer on it. We had a 2006 290SD, it was a GREAT boat, but I have 2 kids and they just weren't up to spending the weekend on the lake (like my wife and I were pre-kids). So we decided to trade it on a runabout since we didn't need the cabin and wanted the ability to tow it to a few of the nearby lakes. After testing a few boats, we decided on the 250 as it had everything we were looking for... size, handling, sportiness, luxury, etc... We haven't spend much time on it yet (2 hours maybe) as I winterized it and put it in storage the day after making the purchase. I can't wait to get it out on the water this spring though!!

Welcome aboard, Ranch. This will be longest 3 weeks of your life!

I believe the "camper canvas" is only available with the bimini top - not with the arch. You could have a local upholstery shop do it for you, though.

Congrats! Welcome aboard...enjoy!

Congratulations on your new ride!

As one who owns a 250 SLX I can tell you first hand what an outstanding ride it is. We're on a pretty good size lake, Smith Mountain Lake, VA and it's a perfect size even for choppy water, large boat wakes, etc. We have the Bimini top model, and I know they offer additional top canvas available. Don't know about the arch version.
Hope you got the Captain's choice on the side exhaust !!! it's a real testosterone kicker!

Enjoy!

The boat is built :smt038

They sent production pictures to me yesterday. Thanks NorCalGlenn for suggesting that I ask for them to take some. It almost makes up for the cost of buying new.

I left my USB drive with the pics on it at home, so I can't post them just yet, but I was looking and apparently the max file size for upload is 48.8K. I'm not sure yet how I'll be able to make them available.

I'm anxious to see it in person, but don't have a delivery date yet.
