Greetings everyone.....soon to be new owners Jay and Casey here. Tonight, we cleared the final hurdle on our purchase and we take delivery on August 10th. Going to be a LONG three weeks.
I've been reading this forum since January. I think that I've read every post! The wealth of information here is amazing. I really have learned a lot; but soon I have to take that knowledge and apply it to the real world!!! I have a binder with tips and tricks all learned on these pages. The first one I added was the diesel fuel management write up by Frank Webster!
My wife and I are so excited about this new adventure. We will base out of PWMarina in Virginia and will soon be frolicking in the Potomac River, with trips down toward the Bay to see family and friends. And we hope to meet and make many new friends along the way!
I am a "graduate" of The Coast Guard Auxiliary Safe Boating Class.....a long time ago. I've held my Virginia Boater's License for 9 years, and I just completed three On The Water classes at PWMarina last Saturday. They were fun. In boats, on the water. We covered anchoring, rafting, docking and close quarter maneuvering in both a single engine I/O and twin inboards. Man, twin engines are really cool to drive.
I know that there is the phrase around here that without pictures, it didn't happen! Here's a view from the helm. I'll have more after closing day.
Well, I just wanted to introduce myself and my wife and say thanks for a great resource.
