Anyone know of a good product for repairing a 1/2 inch slice in the vinyl cockpit seat??:smt013

If it's in a high stress area, you may have to add a piece of clear vinyl. But try it straight, first.

Otherwise, a local upholsterer may be able to do it, or recommend someone that can. A marina should be able to recommend someone, as well. If they don't offer it as a service.

Look for a local franchise for "Fiberenew". Had them repair some small scratches and discoloration and small tear on my cockpit vinyl and you cannot see where the repair took place.

Most luxary car dealers have a service to fix these kinds of dings. It is usually an independent contractor who stops by when there are several projects scheduled. Your project sounds like 45 minutes and a hundred bucks.

Let a pro do it for you. I used one of those vinyl repair kits once & it looked just like I repaired it myself.
