we are looking for a 380 Dancer Diesel this fall to purchase.. issue is We have 30ft of dock on sailboat access canal in Ft Myers, very little tides unless storms etc..

in front of my dock is open mangroves for 30 more feet until another boat on an elevator lift..
what are any ideas or suggestion for properly securing the 42 LOA dancer safely.
We are in a HOA we own the docks.. I have not reached out to the board regarding my dock or at least adding a pylon to secure the bow/ spring..

can I just utilize the 30ft I have and secure the boat..

thank you for your time

Hi Neal, welcome to CSR.

We have a 360 Sundancer and have the slidemoor system. With it we just use the stern and midship cleats -- no need to use the bow cleats, no need for spring lines. It works very well, and we have good tidal swings at times. We've had it a number of years and only don't use it when a hurricane is in the area.

Unless the HOA owns the canal they may not have a say on adding a pylon. But you may need a permit from the town or county to do so either way.

The Slidemoor system looks like a good option.

Thanks Gents... I have a call into Slidemoor they are just down the road in naples..
