I recently tried these to help reduce the amount of bugs that get trapped under the windshield and other areas in the cockpit. They work, well. I don't like killing bugs, at all, but...

Sadly it caught a bird recently as well, I assume one trying to get some free bugs.

Note, they are VERY sticky. Do not let it touch you or anything on your boat.

Thanks @SKybolt / Orlando, I thought about that as well, and have used one when I am on the boat. I don't like leaving one running when I am not on the boat though.

Mine runs all of the time. Product of what it was purchased for. Other wise the WS is full of bugs no matter what I do and I can't reach in and clean as well as it needs to be. This changed all of that for the most part.

I like the idea it attracts spiders…. Is that your case too?….. I’ll try it regardless especially with fish fly season starting

My goal and plan was to catch spiders, it seems to be catching everything but though.

It's a bit of a catch-22 with the stickiness, though. I've heard they're like super glue! While it's a great eco-friendly solution, catching a bird is definitely a downside. Maybe positioning them strategically can minimize that risk.

By the way, speaking of bugs, if you ever need to tackle a different kind indoors, you might want to explore the cost of bed bug treatment. There are some effective solutions out there that won't break the bank.

The sticky pads did absolutely nothing for me..

maybe some bugs aren’t attracted based on your location….. vacuuming or using my little electric blower …works the best so far
