Wow...I listed my boat 1 month ago and sold it tonight. It was a great boat but I'm looking to get into an older 290da ( '92 or '93 ). I've been boatless for three hours and already don't like it !

Good job, funny how that works. I sold mine in Sept. and it wasn't even for sale.... Makes you wonder if you asked enough doesn't it:smt021 If you got out, didn't get hurt, passed on a solid boat and landed yourself in the market for a new one coudos all the way around... Get back out there by 05-01, Cincy needs more Sea Rays on the mighty Ohio.

Congratulations on the sell!!! It was 9 months selling my last one. Just curious why a 92,93 da? I have the style after that 1995 da. And love it.

I like the layout of the '92 - '93. There are a few out there in my price range also. I plan to trailer so the 9' beam and less weight of the earlier 290s is appealing. Hey dpvandy are you local 48 ?....I'm a 16 year local 336 ( Middletown ).

Congrats on the sale! Good luck in your search for a nice 290!

Local 4268... Springfield Township. Unit 2. You work with S. Jones??? He keeps his 1/3 of a 2003 280DA at the same marina as I do.... Come down this year, the Cabana on the River is the best food/bar around, we're next door at Mariners Landing

Congrats Quint and good luck with the new boat search. Your old boat was a great source of inspiration for many projects on my boat. Looking forward to what you do with the new one!

Thanks for all the comments.
Shining - I've seen that 290 but priced without a trailer is above my range...it looks nice though.

Lt. Dan - yeah I work with Shaky Jones...we will definitely have to get together this summer. We usually stay at Watertown when in Cincy. It was bought out and is supposedly being redone. We come down for the riverbend shows mostly.

I haven't been into No-watertown since I grounded my 250 at their gas dock 3 years ago........:smt021:smt021 Let me say that again...... I GROUNDED MY BOAT AT THEIR GAS DOCK!!!!!!!!!! The new owners promise to fix the silting problem and the plans for the new marina look great.

I know the feeling, happy hunting and yes the pangs won't subside...

Wow ...glad I didn't run aground. the water was a might bit stagnant in spots.

Todd - I was on a 260da at the Cincinnati boat show last Sunday and thought of you. Great boat !!

congrats---But I am a bit sad because you are my boat-buddy. I only dreamed of getting my boat into the same shape as your boat. Did you tell the new owner about clubsearay? I would love to continue to get updates. Have fun finding your new boat.

One more thing--I know our boat rocks!!! But WOW--only 1 month.

Wendy

wow 1 month...you sir are very lucky. Let's hope I will have that luck next month.

What really helped sell my boat was I took a 5 min video of the boat and posted it to you tube. I then put a link to the video in my ad. It worked great. The buyer had a good idea what they were driving 3 hrs to look at. I gotta say watching them pull away with that boat hurt. I put countless hours into it and it gave my family much pleasure. The 290da I drove 5 hrs to look at in Michigan two weeks ago, sold yesterday....crap! ! Well I'm burnin up the internet looking for my next one. here is a link to the video if anyone is interested.

Shining - thats a beauty. I want to stay slightly smaller...and single engine. I will trailer it almost weekly when I get one.
