We moved to a drive up well from a finger dock well at our marina this year. As I have learned over the last few weeks, one of the benefits of the finger docks is that we used to keep our dinghy tied up underneath the dock and with the cover the dock provided not much rain would get in. So I bought a cover, but even with the cover the rain floods the cover and inevitably soaks the dinghy inside. I am already getting tired of bailing water out every time.

I started researching what options there are for portable bilge pumps for dinghies. I came across this product and was wondering if anyone has used it or knows of anyone that has. I am guessing the product is pretty new, as I can't find a single review of it online anywhere.

It seems like a great idea, just don't know how well it actually works.

Looks cool. Too bad the solar panel isn't removeable, so that it could be placed outside the cover...

Funny you say that. I found a similar system where the solar panel is separate and you can do exactly that.

But I was thinking if I can still return the cover and use that money to put into this, and this type system actually worked, I wouldn't need a cover at all.

I don't know, might be wishful thinking on my part.
