Departed our winter home this morning. Met some nice people and enjoyed the time in nw Florida. Special thanks to mr. Webster for the Marina recommendation, as well as watching over and helping with some the maintenance work and other odds and ends. Some day i'll buy you that diet coke.

BZ's to Treasure island marina...friendly, helpful and knowledgable staff. I'd highly recommend it for stop over, permanent home or a great place to service a sea ray.

We ran about about 170 miles across the gulf today in some pretty choppy seas. We hope to arrive back home in western ky Tuesday or Wednesday...weather/water conditions permitting. Long day but sure beats work.

Thanks. Wasn't sure what we were in store for coming out of mobile bay this morning as winds were strong as you stated. We came off the mobile shipping channel last night into dog rivers secondary channel and it absolutely cut loose on us. Couldn't see 10 feet in front of us and the channel is only about 20 feet wide it seems. Wasn't a pretty day crossing the gulf but we tabbed down and were able to handle the rough water. Ran about 180 miles and took on 366 gallons of diesel at dog river if that tells you anything.

Anyway, inland waters were very high today and we ran against a very serious current but to our complete surprise, very little debris. We left mobile at 6:45 and arrived at demopolis yacht basin at 7:15...235 miles today and 2 locks down so we were very, very pleased with the day. The high water kept fishing and recreational boats away which really helped us.

So, we are about half way home but have 11 more locks to go. So far so good.
