I think I want to buy the next boat you sell!!! :)

If that tygon hose is coming off and that's how you're losing the coolant then that would make sense. Clamp that thing down or plug the hose barbs like Nater suggests. I think you really should have a hose with reinforcement, as the cooling system should withstand about 15 PSI which can come from it warming up properly.

Gee what do you know? clamping the hose was the fix. Funny how no clamps for a year the pump has been on was fine until I burned up the impeller. Then hose starts popping off. I immediately jump to the worst case scenario which would be major cooling or head issues instead of stick to the basics. Sometimes its hard to find the forest with all these damn trees in the way:confused:. I ran the genny for 45 minutes with two 24 000 btu heat pumps running and she ran like a champ and cool as a cucumber. Money just hit my bank account so a little gelcoat repair sand and buff and finish unloading all my gear and the new owner gets to enjoy her. He got insurance coverage coming out of a 35 foot boat ten years ago to this 50 foot handfull with no requirement for captain's training. I wish him all the best!

It’s never the flux capacitor! Glad you got it sorted. Congratulations and thanks for sharing.

I do but, when I replaced the engine coolant water pump a while back due to a failed bearing and seal, the new pump had two 1/8 inch barbed hose fittings on it that the old one did not. Not sure what they are for as I can’t find any information about them in the manual. I simply connected the two with a loop of 1/8 Tygon hose. The hose slid over pretty tight and I did not install any type of clamps. When the engine shuts down I find one of the ends popped off and antifreeze in the bottom of the engine mount pan. Today I am going to use my nifty new safety wire cl

Occam's Razor!

But if that's not a reinforced hose, it's probably just a matter of time before it bursts when hot and under pressure. I don't think that Tygon is rated for 15 PSI at 180F.
