Snowmageddon could cost up to 150,000 jobs in February

Okay I just learned some thing new. I did not know you could file for unemployment because you were out of work for a couple days do to the weather???

The article was saying the that the unemployment number were going to improve, but now the government says it will get worse do to the storm. :huh::wow::huh:


Is it just me, where do they come up with stuff?

I wouldn't say it gets worse, but it won't get better. I'm in the restaurant business. I know my sales are really soft on an adverse weather day. I haven't hired in months.

I do a lot of business in the hospitality industry.....everyone is slow.

I know. Its like this every year. January we are slow, then people start getting their tax checks . They look at it as a bonus instead of a interest free loan to Obama and friends.

Scott I told the boss he should fire me since my real estate sales have been so low. I thought for a minute then told myself no!!! There would be nobody to clean the bath rooms(Grin) Being self-employed is great.......(lol)......

Chuck I find that hard to believe too but it's probably true.

I don't know about the real estate business but I actually saw a glimmer of hope last fall. Business wasn't where it should be but was at least better than it has been the last 18mos. Then January came & it went flat again. I just keep telling everyone they're going to miss me when I'm gone....:smt043
