Well… It was an interesting day today!
My friend and I went out on my boat today to do a little fishing…. It was a bit cool, but we are typical New England hard-core “sailors” and so we didn’t mind the 43 degree weather! We got to the shore at about 10am, got on the boat and started fishing. So far so good… until…
To our surprise… the clouds moved in and it started snowing! We couldn’t believe it.. out in the middle of nowhere and the snow was just coming down hard!!! Suddenly we could only see about 500 feet or less in front of us. No more land in site. Just water, waves, wind and lots of snow! Here we were, April 8, 2009 in a snow storm relying on all my electronics, GPS, Radar, Sonar and the all reliable compass!
This just tells you how unpredictable the weather can be! We had listened to the NOA weather and there was no weather reports on SNOW!
Thank God for my navigation skills and the good Portuguese sailor blood! And yes I had the top up so we kept nice and protected from the snow. We made it back safe to port and went home laughing. Being out on the water in this conditions was out of this world. Like a movie scene!
:smt101 So much for spring!

Yeah. . I was driving my car to the repair shop through the snow to get the AC worked on yesterday. . .

I've had my boat out 3 times already and then it snows. haha

We were out last weekend and awoke with frost on the dock last Saturday AM. It was weird, but it quickly warmed to the low 60s
