My gauge(s) read -31* F as the water temp. It was reading the correct (or at least a believable) temperature until last weekend. I’ve cycled through the settings prompts and can’t figure out how to fix it.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Is that the coolant temp reading?

The coolant temp reverts to -40°f with an open circuit.

Could be a bad sensor or damaged wire.

Check out the 2 wire temp sensor on the thermostat housing.
You’ve got twins so maybe you could swap sensors between motors.

It’s the sensor that picks up the water the boat is riding in, not coolant. It’s the same screen that shows air temperature.

Hi - did you end up figuring out where the sensor is located? Ours is reading 141 degrees and not quite sure where to start looking.

No, I didn't and it was still reading -31 yesterday

The seawater temp sensor is built into the transducer.

I don't remember exactly how to do it offhand, but start with a Smartcraft system reset at the dash. Check the SC manual, or google for it.

Thanks I’ll try that next time I’m on the boat.
