hi. need help with my smart craft gauges.I use to be able to see my depth on the starboard gauge display.nd know it doesn't work. I pressed the reset on all three gauges and it disappeared. when they reset. it asked . which engine port or starboard I set the starboard first. it asked for station 1 or 2, I selected 1 and I set the left gauge as port and station 2. after that I cant see the depth finder any more.

I would convert to the dumb analog gauges, they always worked, same with the manual switches for the electrical systems.
volts, oil pressure, water temp and 1 good eye is all you need.

Are you sure you have a Smartcraft transducer? Smartcraft would not have been factory installed on your 2002 boat so someone added it at a later date. If they did not add the Smartcraft transducer, it will not work. The transducer would connect to one of the engine diagnostic ports. On the factory setup, they use the Starboard engine.

I hate to say this but you may have caused yourself a headache by doing a Master reset. The entire single set of SC1000 gauges would be Station 1. The only time Station 2 is set is if you had a second helm (such as a flybridge) or using a SC1000/SystemView/VesselView dual setup (wont get in to that).

To be honest with you, without knowing details about the extent of the Smartcraft conversion that was done on your boat this will be difficult to help with. If it is asking Port or Starboard, it is possible the ECMs need to be set. The Port/Starboard designation is done on the ECM and must be done with a Scan Tool or PC.

Not to Hi-Jack your thread,.....I also have wrong readings on air temp, and sea temp on smartcraft......way off!
Depth reading is OK,..........what is the solution?

Very common for sea temp sensor in transducer to go bad and Cause this. Double check and make sure sensor is set to on in Calibtation mode. Otherwise Fix is to replace transducer. Air temp sensor is black and mounted somewhere on the dash. Looks kind of like an audio plug.

The air temp sensor is very sensitive. Ours is always inaccurate because when I installed it it was placed in a sunlit spot. If there is nothing on the dash, look at the harness connecting the tach to the junction box. On this harness is where the plug is for the air temp sensor is located. There should be a white tape marker. The sensor may be wire tied off there, or simply missing.

For the Op, in 2002 the depth was supplied by a Lowrance 3500 device. It is independent from SC.

Thanks Jason, so the air temp sensor is somewhere under the dash?

I have not specifically seen the install location on a 320 but it is normally about knee height on the lower section of the helm. It is black and about the diameter of a penny. Can't miss it.

It may just be disconnected. If not I think it is a fairly inexpensive sensor.

My gauge keeps reading "totalizer", and only displays the engine temp and trim setting. By the way this is on the Tachometer. Is there a procedure to change the display and readings?

Get out your manual or google and find the manual. There are all kinds of settings, calibrations, and things to monitor. All is covered in the Smartcraft manual. You can customize the screens to see what you want.
