So my 270 2007 slx with 496 engine overheat alarm is going off. But my running temp after a cruise at 3000 rpm’s is about 174 degrees. I turn the boat off and turn it back on and it “resets” the smart craft and I can get to my destination without any more alarms. I have already changed the temp sensors on the manifolds. Any other suggestions?
from what I’ve read here I’m at normal operating temperature. Impeller was just changed, I did a back flush with water hose at the oil cooler etc... and also treated the engine with star bright descaler. I also opened up the heat exchanger and cleaned it. Also changed those L shaped hoses at the Exhaust manifolds. Am I missing something here? Do I have a bad sensor somewhere ?
