Right now I have a 8'6" baltik dinghy and 6hp tohatsu on my boat. Got hurley davits installed which work great and pleased with everything. The only thing on my boat is the platform is integrated (built in) not like 320 where it extends off with no gunnel wings. So dinghy pretty much extends across entire back of platform. Anyone know of any inflatables less than 8ft (pref 7'6" or so) that can hold a 6hp engine? Thinking of the possibility of going down to a smaller size to give us more room to get on/ get off boat and/ or load boat. Also once our dog gets bigger (have a choc lab) we won't be able to get him on other than to first put dinghy in water then let him get on, since right now dinghy extends across entire back of platform. Thanks for any ideas or know of any models that would help me!

Just checked ebay and Baltik's 7.5 and 6.5 footers have a max capacity of 2.5hp. Doubt you'll find anything that small with any lager capacity. There's likely a standard HP capacity for each dink weight and size.

Nothing here either. Closest is a hypalon achilles at 7'7" which can handle a 4hp.

Yea I looked around also, thought maybe there was something else out there I was missing. Thanks though!

Can you stand it upright? I don't know if that would work while running, but you could stand it up when you arrive. Of course at that point, you might as well just shove it in the water!

Well to complicate matters a bit more, I think if you find one which has an infaltable hull that that should be another consideration to use in your search.
