I am a one man band and I have too many projects. Now that includes the boat. I'm still chasing cooling problems from last year but I don't get much time to work on it. I hope that changes soon. I lost my indoor storage spot last year and boat had to sit outside (covered) this winter. I discovered the current cover leaks like crazy so I double tarped it which worked... Not very well. So I was faced with a decision. Drop the money I was saving to just take boat to mechanic or fix garage lean-to and get her protected and attempt to fix myself. I chose the later option. The lean to is repaired (complete roof replacement and extended by 10'. So here she is in her new home and ready for me to attend to the issues. Hope to have it running the next couple weeks.

Thanks for looking. I know it's not nearly as good as being on the water but at least now I'll keep the water off/out of it. Also the rest of the bow will be under cover once I moved a crap load of creek rock out of my way. It was a real clencher getting it in there. No mirrors on the tractor and the lean-to is only 6" wider than the trailer. Happy boating everyone!

Newman,

Looks good! Ever consider welding a ball mount/trailer ball to the front of the tractor? Makes it much easier moving the boat around in tight spaces. Anyway, a few more times backing her in with the tractor and you'll be doing it with your eyes closed.

Where in Ohio do you do your boating?

Hope to see you on the water soon!

nothing like being under shelter to work on the boat....i have spent MANY hours working on past boats while they were on their trailers in my back yard all the time fighting the heat or cold or rain etc.....our 340 is in a coverered wet slip so now i can work on it pretty much whenever i want to.....and when the Admiral alows me to....:smt014......

No, but that's a great idea! Definitely going to look into that. I was using a 3-point attachment with a receiver and the sway with the 3-point hitch made it really interesting.

I'm outside of Cincinnati right by East Fork State Park. Once I'm comfortable with her reliability again I will be moving on from East Fork and hitting up the river. It will also be trailered up to Superior for some fishing when weather permits. I'd also like to check out Brockville since its only a few hours away.
