My 320DA has momo tweeter speakers on the cockpit. The grills are rusty and against the white it stands out like a sore thumb.

I wanted to take them out and clean them. (Yes I know OCD) - has anyone done this and if so how do they come out, what did you use etc.

Take a couple of photos and post. I painted my covers by cleaning well, a touch of light sanding and rustoleum.

I used a screwdriver to carefully pry the grills off. Mine were rusted too. It looks like there was a sealant/glue at some point but it was not very hard to get them off. When I replaced them, the magnet of the tweeter seemed to "grab" the screen and they've stayed on the tweeter fine without new glue.

The entire tweeter can come out as well. It's basically a ball-and-socket joint and the tweeter body snaps into the housing. I only pulled that out for curiosity in replacing the entire tweeter unit. The wires are soldered directly to the tweeter and I didn't look within the arch. It seemed like a more involved project than I wanted to attempt at the moment.

Removing and sanding the screens was an easy temporary fix. I can still see some rust but it was better than before.
