Does anyone use a small electric dehumidifier in the winter time in their boat.

I'd like to find one with a tube/hose for discharge so I can place it on the counter or in my sink and allow the condensate to drain freely.

I would probably also use this when I'm away from the boat during the summer vs. using the HVAC in the dehumidifier mode.

Any suggestions..... Make / Model

I use a dehumidifier on my 40 ‘ boat in Florida when I am not staying aboard May through November. It drains into the shower sump.

37' on Lake Michigan, I ran one in the cockpit as we left the canvas up during the week. It'd pull almost 2 liters out over the course of a week.

I've always used air dryers, which dehumidify without needing to worry about getting rid of the water; they also use much less power. West Marine sells them:

I have a couple of these as well:

I think these were from Defender. They seem to go on sale right around when they are needed in Sept-Oct.
