Can anyone recommend an anchor that will fit in the anchor locker of a new 270 SDX.

I decided to forgo the windless for the bow boarding ladder, but I'm having a heck of a time finding an anchor small enough to fit in the locker under the bow seat. At this point I'm regretting not getting the windless.

I was hoping to find something I could run though the whole that sits under the bow ladder, but I don't think that's going to happen. Anyone with a 270, what are you using? How do you have it rigged? And how are you storing it?

Thanks!!

Look at a Fortress Anchor. Lightweight and they come in various sizes. They can be disassembled for storage.

To remain ALIVE in a bad situation you need an anchor sized for your boat not the storage compartment

I'll second Jim. I use a fortress anchor as my stern anchor and I like it a lot. Easy to assemble and disassemble with good holding power (at least in mud where I'm usually at).

Yes, I obviously plan to stick with something weighted to hold the size of the boat. I just know there are less bulky (more storable) options then the cheapest solution MarineMax puts on board when rigging the boat.

I also use a Digger Anchor with my 19SPX. Holds well and you do not use a chain with it, which is very nice.
