Howdy folks.
My name is John. I live in Saanichton / BC / Canada with my 5 year old boy-pirate... arrr! We've now just picked up a 2006 240 / 5.7... oh yeah... it's on my signature! That one.
We've got the gulf islands nearby not too unlike the San Juan's in Washington. We're really lucky to live in such a great boating area and we take full advantage of it!.
Have you hugged your Sea Ray today?

Cheers :)

welcome aboard. I am pretty new here too so Hi right back atcha.

I wish I could hug my sea ray today....but it's much to cold here.

I wish I could hug my SeaRay too. But it's covered with all that icky white plastic. You must know what that's like eh?

I hugged mine yesterday. 68 degrees in the Delta in northern California.

Welcome. You do have some very beautiful cruising up there.

:smt101 Scary as the big pirates, them little ones! Arrrr! :smt101
Good ol' Poet's Cove. Nice place... we were there a couple times last year. The place is sure changed since the old 'Bedwell harbor' days.
Drop me a line when you're in 'the hood'... we pirates are quite social!

Listen to you...
Hate to break the news to ya' bud... but we boat all year round here. The coldest weather we had this season was about -3 and that was only for a couple days. The rest has been a little wet but recently it's t-shirt weather... sunny and flat calm. No 'icky' plastic on our boats... just 'tipsy' models sporting fancy little bikinis.
Cool 'eh?
Cheers!

Welcome aboard.

Welcome Magster....Good to see you have made the transition!
Wish I could hug my Sea Ray but she is away in storage......about 50 days till she comes back to my arms :smt089

Yeah we do miss the old Bedwell, especially that rickety 'ol Pub.
I will certainly warn you when we plan on invading your great waters......

Yeah... even though we have a newish boat, we're not rich. Poet's Cove is a bit expensive. Browning harbor is just through the pass though and it's still sporting it's 'small town... local pub' atmosphere (and prices). We usually end up there but not always. There's some great stops on Galiano island (Montague harbor has an incredible beach) and on Thetis island (Telegraph harbor is a lot like like the old Bedwell). If you wanted to venture another 1/2 hour or so north, those are definitely worth the visit.
I anticipate your warning and likewise when I venture to Friday or Roche harbor!

The pass between north and south Pender.

A grasshopper walks into a bar.
The bartender says, "Hey, we have a drink named after you!"
The surprised grasshopper says, "You got a drink named Fred?"
:)

We go to Canada alot. Poet's Cove is so close it's an easy destination for us and I love the people.
Are you coming on the rendezvous?

Here's my favorite Stern shot, and it's in Canada too

Boat pics rock! :)
What rendezvous, where and when? Nosy 'eh?
Curious... how long does it take you to get from Marysville to Poets Cove? I bought my boat in Portland and was going to cruise back from 'where-ever' in the south Puget sound area but the weather was not so nice. I thought that trip would be about 10 hours with a couple of lunch and fuel stops.
