Ok so I am complaining. But WTF? A refinery has some issues here in the PNW and all the gas in all the tanks up here magically go up $0.35 a gallon over night? Really??

Gas at the marina is now $4.59 a gallon. Let's see on step: 17 gph X 2 or 34 gph for both engines. 34 gallons @ $4.59 = $156 per hour......:smt013

I am being priced out of recreational boating....:smt089

Our marina was at $4.95 two eeks ago. Let's see 8gph x 2 engines = 16gph x $4.95= $79.20 per hour. Almost half of yours but still WTF!

At 1200RPMs my 320DA was using 3.4GPH for both. Going slow is always an option to save $$$ and enjoy boating.

ya there's been a few times I've teased about removing the engines and putting in a wine cellar, if these prices keep going up the silly idea may take root.....that or I'll be converting back over to sailing couch.gif

And oil is at just over $92 today... it's down over $12 in just the past 2 weeks, and gas again is not following!:smt021

Hey I found diesel fuel for my truck at $3.78 a gallon yesterday. What a deal!

soooo...the Sea Duction is now the worlds biggest drink holder/coffee table ???

We have close friends on a 35' sailboat. They have 20gal fuel tank, which they fill twice in the season. It all sounds great until we start talking about a trip some place in remote location (we're talking about 300-400NM round trip). They just don't have the time to get there and have to stay behind. So, if you're not going too far or have the luxury of time sailboat might be your answer to the fuel cost problem.

Where are you getting $4.95? I'm accross the bay and get dinged for $5.25 /gallon for ethanol free 89.

Hey gang,

Come on up north of the border. In Kelowna, on Okanagan Lake gas is $1.789 a Liter. So when you do the math, 3.79 liters in a US gallon. 1.789 X 3.79 = $6.78 a gallon. If I were to empty the tanks it would be an $1,800 tab to fill! And they only sell 92 octane here.

Gas at the pump for vehicles is $1.279 a liter. I just don't get it.

Gas is $4.13 pg at our yacht club right now, which is still bad enough...but getting better:)

Gas at my YC is $4.22 down 10 cents since last week by june prices shoud drop more since all the oil prices you see are for June deliveries just hope that they dont start to rebound last year before memorial day I was paying $4.10 by july 4th I was paying $3.89 being in the energy industry I get use to this. But if you put it into perspective every 100 gallons cost an average of an extra $30 to $40 dollars more then last year I used 1000 gallons last year so and extra $400 dollars this year in the whole its nothing compared to all the other cost associated with boating Ill just go a little slower and stay on the hool alittle longer Its still better then being inside or on land

I know a guy who had a big, old (read cheap redneck) houseboat where he pulled the inboard motor out, put an outboard on the back just big enough to move it, then dropped a hot tub in the prior engine bay.

We are at 4.99/gal on the water right now. Sad thing is this is likely the "cheapest" it will be all summer!!
