Walked out to my boat tonight to find a huge crack in my sliding cabin entry door. It's 1/2" tinted/pre-bent plexiglass. Would love to find a replacement, but I can't find anything like it online, and I haven't found anyone else that has had the same problem. Anyone heard of this happening? Repair/replace options? :smt100

Somewhere around your area or in DTW there has to be a glass company that could make a replacement for it. Call around, ask MacRay Harbor and glass shops. If they say they can't do it, see who they would recommend. They're in the business and know which companies do what type of work.

I had a similar boat with a crack in the heavy plexiglass door. I repaired it useing the proper bonding agent. The repair has lasted at least 8 years. Go to a local plastics business for assistance.

Thanks. We did find a plastic company that is willing to do the repair, but we have to take them the door. I can't figure out how the door comes out and can't find any instructions on it. Any ideas?

Staylo, I didn't have a SR at the time but my door was very similar to the one you showed in the photo. I did the repair myself with the door in place. I think it basically amounted to superglue or something very similar. I believe they identified the door plastic as Lexan.
